The Ranch… Circle C Youth Ranch is a
ministry of the First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake, Inc. The camp office is
located at 5801 SW 120 Avenue in Building 2000. The telephone number for the
office is 305-274-3380. The office hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mondays and 7:30
AM to 5:00 PM Tuesdays-Fridays.
Circle C Youth Ranch is
located in southwest Dade County in an area commonly known as “horse country”.
Campers enjoy an “at home/away from home” camping experience in the outdoors.
This superior program is provided at a nominal cost.
Campers are taught the
Bible daily, from a Biblical and not a denominational view. The camper’s
rightful relationship to God, Christian morals, character, proper conduct,
honesty, courtesy, patriotism, right thinking, fair play, and strong bodies are
together our ultimate goal.
Registration…
The $20.00 RESERVATION FEE for each week reserved must accompany the
Registration Form. Our camp fee is $135.00 per week, which includes a $20.00
reservation fee that is not refundable or transferable.
Tuition… All tuition must be paid in advance (two weeks prior to the
date your child reports to camp).

The tuition is for ages
3-14 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This includes insurance, lunch, and all
activities.
There is no discount for a partial day, week, or for more than one child.
The day’s program is from
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There is no additional fee before 8:00 AM or after 4:00 PM.
If children are not picked up by 6:00 PM there is an extra charge of $3.00 for
every 15 minutes (applicable to all ages).
Boys and girls ages 3-6
that are dropped off from 7:00 to 8:00 AM are to come through the U-shaped
driveway and brought to the playroom. Boys and girls ages 7-14 that are dropped
off from 7:00 to 8:00 AM are to come down the long driveway and meet under the
pavilion in front of Building 2000. Any camper dropped off after 8:00 AM must be
taken by the parent directly to the group at their designated activity.
Insurance…Insurance
is included in the weekly tuition fee. Coverage provided is a “secondary limited
medical reimbursement” policy, covering emergency and first aid services.

Preschool Themes…
Campers ages 3-6 will enjoy
participating in many activities each week, such as games, costumes, art,
crafts, music, stories, and poetry, relating to an exciting theme!
Health Certificate…The
camp is to be supplied with a Health Certificate (yellow form) and current
immunization record (blue form) indicating the date of the most recent tetanus
shot. Those enrolled in Westwood Christian School are exempt.
Power of Attorney…
A “Power of Attorney” is required giving authority for emergency medical
treatment. (Please see reverse side of Registration Form.)
Waiver of Liability…
Campers ride horses Mon./Wed. or Tue. /Thurs. at their own risk (weather
permitting). The Equine Activity Sponsor Release and “Waiver of Liability”
signed and notarized by the parents is required by Circle C Youth Ranch before
campers are permitted to ride. (Please see reverse side of Registration
Card.)
Conduct and
Discipline… Circle C Youth Ranch reserves the right to refuse enrollment
and to dismiss or request the withdrawal of any camper whose conduct or
character, in the opinion of the director, is considered a harmful influence to
other campers. When such becomes necessary there is no refund on registration
fees or tuition. Attendance at Circle C Youth Ranch is a privilege, NOT a
right. Campers will be responsible for the replacing of broken windows or
abusive destruction of property. We do not tolerate the use of foul language or
any form of tobacco or drugs. Campers bringing tobacco or drugs to camp or
caught smoking while at camp will be sent home. Wheelies, comic books, playing
cards, Pokemon Cards, dice, Game Boys, or any type of electronic games are not
permitted. Do not bring expensive watches, jewelry, radios, CD players, ipods,
etc. to camp. We cannot be responsible for these things. If a camper’s behavior
is such that he or she is uncontrollable by the counselor in charge, the camp
reserves the right to use whatever discipline necessary to gain and have the
camper’s respect (i.e. “time out”, not being permitted to participate in a
special activity, a call to the parents).
Dress Code… Strictly
enforced. Please identify all clothing and towels with child’s name. The
camp reserves the right to make any change in its policy or dress code without
notice.
GIRLS – Knee length shorts
are acceptable. Jeans are required for horseback riding. No tank tops, mini
skirt, tight shorts, or tight pants are allowed. Shirts must be loose and cover
shoulders, chest, and stomach.
BOYS – Jeans with a sport
shirt or a T-shirt are recommended. No tank tops, only knee length
shorts are acceptable.
Acceptable Hairstyles…
BOYS – must have a
traditional boy’s haircut, no layer cuts, no mushroom cuts. Hair may not come
over the ears or past the collar of a tailored shirt. This is strictly enforced.
(See I Corinthians 11:14, 15 in the Bible.)
GIRLS – hairstyles must
also be of traditional style.
Canteen…Campers
will have canteen privileges mid-morning and afternoon. During canteen time
campers may purchase soft drinks, candy, snacks and ice cream. The cost of these
items is NOT included in the tuition. Circle C Youth Ranch T-shirts ($7) are
also available for purchase in the canteen.
Swimming…Girls
MUST wear a modest one-piece bathing suit and bring a swimming cap. Rubber caps
are available in the canteen for $3. TWO-PIECE BATHING SUITS ARE PROHIBITED.
Boys MUST wear bathing suits, no cut-offs are allowed unless they are hemmed.
Please identify your child’s bathing suit with their name. Weather permitting.
Locker…Each
camper (ages 7-14) is provided a locker. This affords minimum security for
personal belongings. It is the child’s responsibility to provide his/her
padlocks to secure their personal belongings. For your convenience, locks with a
key may be purchased in the canteen for $5.
Boating…Campers
are taken on a boat ride on the Snapper Creek canal that runs alongside our
property. Each camper is provided a life jacket. Weather permitting.
Circle C Youth Ranch admits
children of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin.
